It's usually pre-opening time when I walk along Marygate, but I've always thought that the Minster Inn looks like a great pub, which I've meant to visit. I finally did so this afternoon, after a walk along the river, and it exceeded my expectations. The pub has a beautiful unspoiled interior, with an attractive small beer-garden. The barman was friendly and chatty, and the beer excellent. Will have to stay for longer next time :)
