“When can I come again”
Reviewed 30 October 2015 for a stay in September 2015

Location the best, customer service the best, attention to detail, the best, they have what you want even when you didn't even know you wanted it, be prepared to climb 4 small flights of stairs, but you are in a period property, so well lived in & loved, this place needs freshening up with a lick of paint & a new stair carpet, but that's nit picking I absolutely loved it & recommend a stay

“Fabulous as ever”
Reviewed 22 July 2015 for a stay in July 2015

This is a fab two bed apartment in York next to the Minster. It's central and great to pop back to to recharge your batteries and rest the feet wile exploring this great city, which can be hard on the feet.

The apartment is up two flights of stairs so not suitable for everyone, however it has great self catering facilities, TV and WiFi and the owners who also run the excellent Cafe Concerto below will also do room service! Rooms are nice and beds great.

We have stayed a couple of times and for at least as long as we have kids at Uni there will be back.

“Great place to stay in York”
Reviewed 12 April 2015 for a stay in April 2015

We've just returned from a fabulous long weekend in York. The location of this place couldn't be better. The accommodation is very comfortable and the little extras (wine and milk in the fridge on arrival as well as a delicious birthday cake) were a real treat. Our daughter wanted to move in permanently and we all wished we could have stayed an extra few days. We enjoyed listening to the bells from the Minster on Sunday morning whilst reading the newspaper - a lazy morning after a couple of hectic days. Definitely the place to stay for a break in York. We popped downstairs to Cafe Concerto for lunch one day and all agreed the food was very tasty. We hope to be back.

“Location,Location,Location .......”
Reviewed 31 October 2014 for a stay in October 2014

We have stayed in York many times over the years in apartments , Hotels and B&B's but this one tops the lot by far when it comes to location.....

It is described as being more of a hotel than apartment and that really is the case. Toiletries, tea, coffee, biscuits, milk wine are all provided you really do just need to turn up. Having cafe concerto downstairs is like having the ultimate room service we only did breakfast one morning as the temptation was too much !!

The apartment is spacious, comfortable and a real home from home. Being so central when you are flagging from sightseeing or shopping you can just pop back and put the kettle on and put your feet up for a bit ! Fab ! Wouldn't hesitate to recommend

“Great, Unique and Very Central”

When they say "by the Minster" they're not kidding, it's right outside and in a very central, excellent location for both restaurants and shopping. The apartment itself is very spacious and uniquely furnished with an eclectic mix of accessories making it feel like a home from home. Clean throughout and with a welcoming bottle of wine and some fresh milk in the fridge it's clear the hosts want you to relax and enjoy your stay. Also parking is only a short walk away and was free (with a provided guest space) which was a pleasant surprise, given that it's right in the heart of the city.

Stayed over the weekend and the room was surprisingly quiet at night despite the central location, so no worries sleeping. The only downside (which is well outside the control of the owners) is the cacophony of church bells ringing out from the hundreds of local churches on Sunday morning!

All in all, a wonderful place to stay that I'd heartily recommend.
