Firstly, everyone in our party enjoyed their food (with the exception of the apple crumble which wasn’t nice at all). Portions were good and everything was tasty. We were disappointed with menu choice overall, I’d heard that Wetherspoons had cut back on choice, I think they’ve gone too far. Drink choice was also limited due to supply issue (co2) so no draught ciders at all and limited beers, no bottled alternatives offered as included drink with meal so had to opt for soft drinks. Service was fine.
Children’s menu was just a list on a printed sheet of paper, not a proper menu, very little detail and no puddings listed either. The stand holding the kids menu advertised an included drink and fruit bag but the fruit wasn’t offered and we had to pay for the drink. Not a major issue but little details make a difference.
Had to find the baby changing while we were there which turned out to be in the disabled toilet which was locked with a missing key! I had to ask a few members of staff and eventually someone went off looking for it. I couldn’t fault his commitment to finding the key but after waiting quite a while I changed the baby on the floor of the ladies toilets (don’t think the cleaner was impressed and neither was I to be honest). Not sure what they would have done if someone disabled came in. The key was eventually found I believe!
So, not a bad experience particularly but it could have been much better.
