“One of the best”
Reviewed 4 November 2015 for a stay in November 2015

Have just got back from break at this cottage and have got to say, this was one of the best accommodation we have stayed in, everything you could possibly want was there, when we arrived Allison phoned to make sure everything was OK, and she was only a phone call away if needed. Really could not have asked for more, location was great for exploring area.
Will definitely be returning, Maggs & Paul

“Nice house shame about the parking”
Reviewed 3 November 2015 for a stay in October 2015

Nice warm cosy house though the fittings are getting tured, beds creek and groan with every turn and pillows are past there best, few rips and tears to the settees and ipod player is faulty but there us all you need for a pleasent stay, quite far out of town though and parking in town is a nightmare, not all our party were able to come so we only had one car, the property is advertised as having two parking spaces but these are not allocatted so each time we got back it was hard to find any space and ever near to the house which was a bit of a problem as i am disabled - if it was my property i would try to get the spaces marked! Also worth noting that there are several steep steps to the front door

Dear Katherine

Thank you for taking time to review your recent stay.

We can appreciate you being frustrated if there wasn't a car parking space available. Usually there are ample spaces but Goth w/e when you stayed is one of the busiest of the year. We have asked the management company to look at putting 'keep clear' signs near the steps and the ramp which is for guests with disabilities to ensure access at all times.

With regards to the furniture - the large leather sofa has suffered more wear and tear than the smaller one and a replacement has now been located.

All pillows and mattress protectors are replaced each season or sooner if damaged and we will check this out.

We really appreciate your feedback and rely on guests to highlight any problems.

Regards
Allison & Tony

“Lovely location, lovely property”
Reviewed 12 October 2015 for a stay in October 2015

We booked this cottage for 3 nights in October.
The cottage is very clean, tea, coffee, milk provided which was a nice touch, a large Sainsburys is less than 10 minutes drive away.
Car parking outside the property so no long walks with your cases.
The cottage overlooks the old viaduct and railway line where steam trains can be seen quite often, a lovely area to stay.
You can walk into Whitby from here although we didn't due to time constraints.
Communication with the owners was excellent.
Definitely recommend staying here and we are already looking at booking for next year!

“Great location”
Reviewed 16 August 2015 for a stay in May 2015

Stayed here twice, once in September 2014 and again in May 2015.
The holiday rental is on a complex with others and is in a great location, just next to to the Cinder Path which runs from Scarborough into Whitby. This is accessed from the viaduct that you can see from the photos, and to walk into Whitby takes about 15-20 minutes - a great way to avoid trying to find a parking space in the town.
Whitby is a lovely little town with great fish and chips as well as some quirky other choices, try the american diner!
The property is great, clean with all the things you need for a stay, and the added bonus of great views to front and rear.
A great base for the local area.
