Every thought had gone into making sure you everything you needed for this stay. the hut got very warm quickly and the bed was comfortable. The area was great for walking and exploring, Whitby and RobinHoods Bay just short drives away or indeed walking distance if so inclined. Down sides we might be getting a little old for having toilets a walk away and after a lot of rain the ground was very squelchy
A lovely little hut nicely located. My sister & I stayed in Hide & sea for 2 nights. The hut was beautifully done out with everything we needed. It was cosy & atmospheric especially with the woodburner going. The owls hooted at night & we saw a deer from the bed one morning. The owner was extremely helpful & friendly. The barn was well equipped and had a lovely powerful shower. A great place to stay.
We had a nice meal at the Flask just across the road..although it was pretty pricey for pub grub at £14 for fish & chips.
We loved our stay in the quiet and cosy hut. We were well looked after. We would love to return again. Our only regret is not booking dinner at the local pub which is very popular.
My sister and I were looking for a peaceful get away and living in a shepherd hut was on her bucket list. We booked both the Hide and Sea and the Deers Leap. Beautifully appointed, wonderful view of Robin Hoods Bay. Beds were super comfy and the small wood stove provided just the warmth needed on a rainy afternoon. Each hut had running water and a nearby Eco Loo was doable. We loved the quiet, but if we had wanted some outside entertainment the Barn at the main house would have provided that. Neither hut is powered by electricity but we did not miss it. A solar powered USB port inside each hut provided charging power for our phones and iPad. Wonderful things to see and do all around the area and we were ideally located halfway between Whitby and Scarborough. Lots of trails to hike. Lisa and Graham were great hosts. We will come to stay again!
