We visited the Restaurant on Saturday 16th June and all we can say is excellent. We had the Taster Menu with the wine flight. The whole experience from start to finish was extremely good . The waiting staff were very friendly, helpful and told us a lot of information about the courses and the wines. Each course was amazing with excellent combinations and flavours. We loved the lamb course and crab course, extremely good. We wish we lived nearer Norwich so we could visit more often. We will certainly be coming back soon. Thank you Roger and your great team for making a very memorable night.

One of the best meals we have experienced. A great 30th Birthday treat.

The food was great but the relaxed, friendly service meant you could enjoy the meal even more. The staff were knowledgeable and approachable which for fine dining can often be lacking.

Please thank our waiter (I feel terrible we did not get his name - possibly the wine flights fault. He also worked at the St Giles house hotel for breakfast) he was fantastic.

Hopefully he will be there when we return!

Grew very happy about it once we were inside it. Bit poncy . Never judge a book by its cover. People that have real money do not need to dress to impress. I love watching all the pounces. What a shame that waiters and waitresses are awed by clothes and not by people's language and history. They are silly and too young to be able to HOLD their own. Always remember " Clothes do not maketh the man". Rodge love. Most billionaires wear crap cloths.

Only our second visit to Roger Hickman's and I'm not sure why.
The food is excellent, the service superb and although it's obviously pricey it's really not outrageous when compared to lesser restaurants.
We choose from the lunch menu (2 courses £21, 3 courses £26). The choice is limited but if you find something you like you won't be disappointed.
Typical of high class restaurants, the portions do not look large, but when you have finished you are satisfied with the amount you had. Amazing how they pack in so much flavour along with various and surprizing textures in virtually every bite.
Not a restarant for every day, but for a treat or special occasion - takes some beating in Norwich - highly recommended.

What a lovely restaurant, first time here with family and will definitely return. The food was outstanding, ate 3 courses from the dinner menu, which was just enough food to fill full and satisfying.
One mention has to be the staff, our waiter was fantastic and extremely knowledgeable regarding the food that was being served to us.
Roger also came out to speak to us at the end of the night, which was lovely, very nice guy.
I won't delve too much into what we had food wise as I have forgotten exactly what it was that on the plate, but just rest assured that it was beautifully presented and a tasted great. Particularly liked the small little canapés and courses that were served in between the meals, very nice touch.
Thumbs up from our party
