Owner description: The Greenwich Vintage Market is just a hop, skip and a jump from the Cutty Sark & The Maritime Museum in the very heart of Greenwich. With an eclectic mix of 40 stalls open 5 days a week (closed Mon & Weds), you are sure to find a treasure...and when you have shopped till you drop, take the weight off your feet and enjoy a very vintage Afternoon Tea at the Tea Hut. The last Friday of every month it is also home to The Greenwich Vintage Moonlight Market with the usual mix of stalls plus a pop-up bar with ALL drinks only £2:50 and live music entertainment.

Looking round the market was a pleasant way to kill twenty minutes, but a lot of the things on sale were what I would class 'tat'. There were some nice things, but also others that just seemed vastly overpriced, justified by the "vintage" description.

This market is nothing special. I know they say "one man's junk is another man's treasure" but this just seemed to be a lot of old tat at inflated prices for gullible tourists.

It's worth popping along to the vintage market, unlike the other markets there is a chance to grab a bargain from these traders who are open and genuine. Also there's a cute coffee stand / cafe that serves the freshest coffee that they roast themselves locally. Worth a visit!

A visit to the Greenwich area is unmissable . It looks like a small city with its characteristic architecture combined with being a proper Londoner neighborhood preserves traits that we have not seen more. The Greenwich market is a return to the old neighborhood fairs. With artisans and diversified food makes the visit enjoyable.
