My brother and his partner took me to this idyllic neighborhood setting for a brunch when I visited them in London recently. I really enjoy these types of places, which I have tried in North America (US and Canada) but never in London. Maybe because my usual visits to London were always strictly business and never a leisurely weekend like this visit.
Anyway, there were several types of cuisines being offered, including Mexican, pasta, Brazilian churrasco, quiche, pastries/breads, cocktails and vegetable/fruit juices. There were also sellers of chicken and other raw meats, and fresh vegetables and fruits. I went for the Mexican burritos by the Pink Cactus (the stall's name), which looked to be the most interesting and tasty, especially their breakfast burrito, with chorizos and fried eggs on top of the usual burrito stuff. I had it "naked" style, i.e. without the tortilla wrap. I really enjoyed it and was fully stuffed when I finally finished it.
My brother tried the new churrasco offering, with various grilled meats, which was also very good - we all tried some of his - if one likes a lot of red meat. They even offered alligator and kangaroo meats, but he stuck to the traditional pork, beef and lamb.
The atmosphere was very friendly and open, and I lucked out on the weather, which was sunny and not too cold on this autumn day.
