Description: Savoire Fair - rarely has a restaurant been so perfectly named. Fresh food, good wine, mellow atmosphere, satisfied staff, value for money - this traditional French bistro knows how to please and over the past nine years it's perfected the art. The mouthwatering menu reads like that of any major London restaurant - rib eye steak served on a fromage frais pancake with a brandy and mushroom sauce, for example - apart from the prices. Although the menu changes every fortnight, the big sellers such as the traditional French bourguignon and tarte tatin are faithfully there for the savouring, much to the satisfaction of the regulars, many of them celebrities and actors from the local shows and plays. Every dish is freshly prepared on the premises daily. "If we can't cook it, we don't have it," declares the owner, Max. There's only one thing for it; cancel The Ivy and try a little Savoir Faire.

Visited this lovely restaurant after reading the reviews on Trip Advisor. It is a delightful find in Central London. We arrived early for our table which wasn’t a problem. The waiting staff are fantastic, the best service we have had anywhere. The food is delicious with ample choice to suit all. It is a quirky little place, excellent staff & lovely good value food - 3 courses each for under £70!

We went here to get a quick lunch. This place had excellent reviews and we thought that it must be good.
We ordered two burgers, a WARM chicken salad and ham&cheese baquette with fries. We waited for 45 minutes and then we asked if they had forgotten our food. Minute after that they bought two burgers, a baquette, cold chicken salad and a angry waiter who was angry and said that we can't be upset. The waitresses did not apologise to us and we had to ask for the fries after the food came.
I recommend everybody to stay away from this place.

Really good food and service. The pasta of the day and lamb mossaka tasted very good, and the portions were large. We’ve already made reservations for tomorrow.

A belated review of an excellent restaurant.

From the outside, the building looks slightly underwhelming, the interior however is really quirky and interesting with quotes on the ceiling. Some make me laugh out loud!

We opted for pate to share to start, delicious and a very generous portion. I then had the mixed fish soup and my husband the entrecôte. Both were delicious and so beautifully cooked.

We had a lovely table by the window, great for people watching.

We had a lovely lunch and look forward to a return visit to this wonderful restaurant.

We had an absolutely fantastic meal at this small but freindly restaurant. The staff were attentive and the quality of the food was amazing. Main meals were tasty with excellent duck and lamb dishes. The desserts had a good selection and the tarte tatin was sweet and sour in an excellent mix. Very good price overall for the meals and some drinks. Lovely.
