We had lunch to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The food and wine was fantastic, and the service was excellent, the usual high standard.

It's the entire experience that's inviting. The glorious food, the unpretentious yet warm and welcoming and attentive service, the sommelier's wine knowledge and recommendations, the setting. Your shouldn't feel really at home in a 2 star Michelin star restaurant yet we felt right at home. Relaxed, comfortable expecting and receiving the best. The manager despite hosting a full house stopped by a number of times to make sure all was well. All told, I need to return!

I was fortunately enough to dine here for a friend's special birthday. We had a private room and the service throughout was excellent. All staff absolutely lovely and put up with a gaggle of women of a certain age quaffing too much champagne. The eight course pescatarian menu didn't disappoint and every mouthful was sublime.

Special thanks to the lovely blond lady working front of house for helping my friend after a wardrobe malfunction. Sorry we didn't get your name but I hope your boss reads this so you get the credit you deserve for going beyond the call of duty.

Fabulous evening. Would love to return one day.

Evening meal was fantastic, service was excellent we ha a tour of the kitchen and met Craig from Master Chef the Professionals.
I had Quail Breakfast to start, Lamb for main course, selection of cheeses and Cherry dessert. All were out of this world! I would highly recommend for a special occasion.

We finally made it to this place for lunch. They do 5 courses for £55 plus service.

The first course was cured salmon
Second was asparagus
Third was plaice roasted on the bone with shrimps
Fourth was slow cooked rump of lamb and the final course was
a yoghurt mousse with mint and basil.

Everything was fantastic with different textures and intense multiple tastes.

The minor criticism was the fish course. My wife was struggling to cope with the bone as she is not use to anything other than fish fillets. She did not realise that if you take the centre bone out - sideways - you ended up with two pieces of filets. By the way, it was easy to take the bone out once I showed her how. Initially, she cut through the fish and the bone. It would have been easy for the chef to take the bone out and re-assemble the fish.

The wine list is not cheap with most bottles over £100. We went for a champagne at £140.

Mash potato on the side was £8 a portion.

Great place.

Parking is reasonably easy on the street using metered places.
