“Nothing compared to Westfield next door”
Review of Stratford Centre

It used to be a decent shopping centre, with a good base of shops for clothes and food. However, with the opening of the Westfield shopping centre next door, the two really don't compare anymore. Still conveniently located near the underground station, and offering a quieter experience.

Have visited here several times. Really good for Dining out, Cinema, a Date, Shopping.
So much variety.
It gets really busy if there are football matches nearby, but on the whole it's an awesome experience to visit here.

I suppose the centre's demise is the fact that it's so close to Westfield. It acts as more of a walkway to the mall rather than a place to actually shop. With that being said, it is very good for grocery shopping (unlike Westfield). Has a decent sized Sainsbury's and Lidl, also there are little market stalls in the middle of the isles selling fruits, phone accessories and other common products. You do have some well known retailers as well such as New Look. Food is definitely not an issue here. There is a newly refurbished McDonald's at the entrance, with a Costa, Burger King and Subway. You may find these places are actually better to eat at because everyone eats at Westfield. Great transport links, not far from the station or bus stops. It is a better place to go if you're Ina budget (most shops are low cost and affordable). Overall, it's a nice place, it wouldn't be your first port of call if you wanted to do clothes shopping, but great for groceries. It's a bit like a town high street condensed under a roof.

I'm lucky to have the privilege of visiting the capital a few times a month. The Stratford centre has a limited choice of shops. It needs a good spruce and tidy up. I'd rather walk around it than walking through it. Try Westfield instead. That's a great shopping centre
