“Sensational and what a view”
Reviewed 22 April 2015 for a stay in April 2015

Stayed over a long weekend. The apartment was very clean and tidy. Close to two tube stations, the beautiful Kennington Park and only a 40 min stroll to the Southbank/Waterloo. I have to say the views where spectacular of London. I will definately be returning and recommend this hidden gem to anyone looking for somewhere to stay with either family or friends.

“A top taste of true london”
Reviewed 13 April 2015 for a stay in April 2015

The outside is deceptive - the inside is great. 5 adults were a good fit - but it might help that we are all related. Dejan is a great host and has really thought about how to make a tired band of travellers feel at home. Also recommend the Kennington pub on the way to the tube.

“Nice flat to visit central London close to underground stations.”

The flat is nicely decorated; modern with warm colors. The flat is not overly large for 6 people, but it is doable. We stayed ourselves with 4 kids (aged 1-10 years), 6 adults might become uncomfortable if you want to dine at home. There are two fully separated bedrooms: one with a double bed, one with an in between and a single bed, the third double bed is adjacent to the living room (separated by a plexi-glas screen & curtain).

Overall finishing of the flat is ok (albeit DIY level). The kitchen is fully equipped (including oven, dishwasher and microwave) and for its size well laid out. A washing machine is also available. The beds are of good quality as are the provided bed linen, the towels etc.

The bathroom is smallish but neat and includes a washbasin, shower and bidet. The hot water supply makes a lot of noise and provides a limited supply of hot water for six people, but as long as it last it is a nice jet.

The flat is not very well isolated and during windy times (quite often during our stay, but perhaps always due to the 13th floor location?) somewhat draughty and this produces quite some noise (haunted house style) which can be a bit disturbing during the nights. This was enhanced by the fact that we had to keep the windows open almost all of the time to keep the apartment cool! enough. (While we stayed in December and outside it was ~10 degrees: we closed all radiators, but some of the piping and the walls of the neighbors continued to produce to much heat.)

The apartment is in a 17 story tower block. The tower block is one out of a group of 5 and is somewhat rundown, as is the neighborhood. However we did not feel unsafe or uncomfortable. We parked our car in a public parking place next to the tower block with the provided permit.

Two underground stations are within 10 minutes walking distance and bring you to the very heart of London in ~ 10 minutes. So the location is really very good to make the most out of your visit to London. Several shops are within a 5-10 minutes radius and have very convenient opening times (till 22h and also Sunday opening).

The handling of the booking, our reception and other interactions with the owner were very pleasant and clear.

Last but not least the view from the flat is really wonderfull. Unobstructed view of the City and Canary Warf and you can also see London Eye.

Despite the small niggles a nice flat in a very good location and we would not hesitate to book it again if we were to visit London another time.

“A Hidden Treasure”
Reviewed 4 January 2015 for a stay in December 2014

The building is not much to look at but the apartment was beautifully decorated and furnished with all amenities you need - dishwasher, clothes washer, and modern new fridge and stove, multichannel TV, & Internet. No need to run out for anything but a bit of food, which you can pick up at a tiny convenience store 2 minutes away. There is a great view, a pleasant little balcony to look at the sunrise and have your breakfast. There is bed space for 7 so with only two it was quite conformable. The walk to Oval tube station is only 10 to 15 minutes. I highly recommend the place. The host, Dejan, could not have been more helpful.
