Stayed here for 6 consecutive nights in a double room, shared bath. It was nice and quiet. The incuded breakfast was amazing and the staff and service was great. It is conveniently located near a main street and a short walk away from public transportation. The only thing that could have been better was the bed, it was uneven.

Charlotte Guest House, is an ideal location for short stays in London. I regularly visit during the week when I'm in the city for work, and am yet to have a bad experience.

Situated on Sumatra Road in the affluent area of West Hampstead, it is only a short walking distance away from an array of bars and restaurants, as well as West Hampstead Underground, Overground, and Thameslink stations. There are also frequent bus services from the adjoining B510 road. This renders it a great location for travelling to virtually any part of London.

The rooms are basic, but well maintained and clean. All benefit from a TV, tea/coffee making facilities, wash hand basin, and either an ensuite or shared bathroom. Rooms with the latter can be as cheap as £43, so if you're looking to save money on your trip and have no problem sharing, this would be ideal as you're not likely to find anywhere else this good, for this price in London.

All guests benefit from a complimentary breakfast, served in the dining area next to the reception. A decent selection of food and drink is available, and is served by polite and diligent staff, who work very hard to ensure that you enjoy your stay.

It's easy to make a reservation on their website; so if you're planning a trip to London, I'd strongly recommend you consider this place.

Good location with great connection to the heart of London, very kind service. A clean room. Ideal for a weekend or a midweek in London. Too bad that the matress was not even, it felt a little bit old an had a dent in it, but that's the only concern.

On arrival reception staff very welcoming. Stayed for two nights, had a single room small but very clean, shared a bathroom which where very modern and spotless clean. Breakfast took place in the main house across the road, a good selection on the menu (full English, Continental etc) which is included in the price. Great value for money. All the staff where friendly and helpful. Round the corner from the station. Plenty of eateries on the main street in fact there is everything you need within a few minutes walk. Certainly would go there again.

Stayed several nights in this guest house in October 2009 on what was my first real trip to London. It is very well located as it's very close to an underground station plus a supermarket and it is therefore easy to get to central London especially during weekdays. Be warned, there is often likely to be maintenance and service works carried out on the Underground at weekends - as this was my experience during my stay. Unfortunately for me, I ended up missing a tour to Stonehenge from Trafalgar Square. West Hampstead is also a good and safe area of the city.

The room was clean and comparatively comfortable with washing facilities if the decor was a little dated and showing its age. Breakfast in the morning was reasonable and the staff were comparatively helpful to deal with any queries or other information about touring and what to see and do.

Finally, prices were reasonable considering that London is an expensive city and gets so many tourists. I would consider this place again in future.
