In the heart of one of London's hottest neighborhoods, this spotlessly clean, comfortable and modern apartment is 3 minutes by foot from a myriad of chic restaurants, bakeries and a Tesco supermarket, and 5 minutes from the theater district, Leichester Underground station and Covent Garden square. It is adequately provisioned for cooking (although with so many restaurants, this may not be necessary!), and when we needed a couple of items, they were indeed provided albeit just before our departure. The agent also worked to get us a second set of keys when the previous renters left without returning them. Many thanks to the owner who proactively supplied a large fan to combat the heat wave while we were there. Same to Genya the cleaning lady who not only guided us to the apartment from the street, but let us drop our bags before the apartment was ready.
NOTES: Be prepared to fax or email your payment information and contract - automated paying (e.g. PayPal) was not provided as an option. Reconfirm clearly with the agent prior to arrival the time of entry to avoid confusion (our booking letter and contract stated differing times) as well as the actual location, since the map sent to us showed it a block and a half away from where it truly was. Entrance is on the back of the building, down a bit of an alley, although there are popular pubs nearby and usually some activity even late into the evening. Potential renters with mobility issues should be aware that in addition to the spiral stairs pictured in the apartment itself, there are two long flights of narrow stairs to reach the apartment. Additionally, when we booked it stated washer/dryer; there is only a clothes washer plus a drying rack.
