This hotel in its hey day was obviously first class with its decor, but sadly it needs investment in the bedrooms. Public areas are nice, free parking a bonus, staff are lovely and efficient, food good, but that’s where the positives finish.
Our bedroom was dark, black out curtains had holes in them, and hanging off the rail, needs redecorating, carpets replaced, shower curtain hanging off, safe “out of order”, no biscuits, different size and shaped mugs and the 2 glasses were dirty, someone had used them to put their toothbrushes in and hadn’t been cleaned properly.
Paid a premium for Saturday night of £130 because we were attending “Strictly come dancing live show”, if were were to stay Sunday night, the price goes down to £69.
All said and done, it would have been worth £69 but not what we paid.
