Of all the museums in the city to choose from, this is one of the lesser known, but miss-it and you'll miss-out on perhaps, one of the city's best hidden secrets.
It houses the 'Wallace Collection' - one of the finest collections of period armour in the country and considering the size of the House, houses an astounding array of Art, from the 15th Century onwards. You can also view a fine collection of period furniture and porcelain in rooms that looked as if they'd just been decorated.
Every room you entered, your tour just got better and better and all this, for FREE - it is worth buying the guidebook for £7.00, which in itself, is a fine coffee table addition.
The cafe/restaurant looked very inviting, but we hadn't the time to stay.
All-in-all, a great place to spend a few hours and well-worth visiting again!
