Booked a night's stay at Bay Tree House based on close proximity to Alexandra Palace and the good reviews on this platform. We would heartily recommend it if you are looking for somewhere to stay in North London. Host was very helpful, welcoming and accomodating. Room was very nice and spotlessly clean with a good shower. Excellent breakfast with a lovely range of home cooked food. Situated in quiet location but close to Arno's Grove tube.

Not the closest location but it's in a nice quiet neighbourhood with a great host and comfy bed. A couple nice restaurants just up the road as well, and close to the tube station on the Piccadilly Line. Good breakfast.

First of all, Jasmine is as good an Inn Keeper as we have had. Pleasant, friendly, informative and natural. The house is spotless and our room, the Rose room on the second floor very comfortable. The bed is a little hard for my taste but I think that is a very personal matter so would not say that is a negative.
Now the practical, yes the house is a very short walk from the Arnos Grove Underground (tube/subway) BUT MAKE SURE TO TURN RIGHT at the FIRST STREET! The street signs are at the weirdest random places when you are use to them being uniformly posted at the corner on a post as they are not. Walk halfway down the street and on the right hand side is the B&B.
To get here from Heathrow just get on the Underground Piccadilly line and stay on it all the way to the Arnos Grove station, about a 30 minute or so ride. Be aware there are 2 flights of stairs up to street level at this station. Not long flights, but stairs none the less.
When you get to Heathrow be prepared to spend at least 2 hours to get through customs, and we had carry-ons. The lines are very long.
There are some restaurants, mostly what I would call fast food types, on the road in front of the Arnos Grove station and an English Pub if you like Pub food but not the places I would plan on eating a great meal but ok for your first night after a long plane ride.
Breakfast is served at the B&B from 8 to 9:30 daily and is very good. American style coffee and of course tea. Breads, eggs, pancakes, English bacon. You won't go away hungry...great start to a day of sightseeing. Oh, really good free WiFi also. Time to go eat breakfast

Lovely room and ensuite and a full English Breakfast as well. We only stayed one night as we were attending a Dinner and Dance close by and Baytree Hotel was in walking distance so no driving home. Will definitely recommend to friends. Very nicely positioned for the Piccadilly Line (5 minutes easy walk) and central London. Jasmine, the owner, is a lovely, friendly lady and is happy to help people when trying to sort the London Underground system as an American couple were having difficulties whilst we were there.

Room Tip: Our room, the Blue Room, was facing the road and it was very quiet.

I found Bay Tree on the web. It is very close to the North London Business Park where I had an interview. Jasmine is a lovely host and keeps the house clean and comfortable. There is a conservatory with a nice view and tea and coffee and snacks whenever you like in the lounge. The room was great, nice comfortable bed, big ensuite and a telly with good free view reception. Breakfast was hot and plentiful, although I just stuck to fruit and toast. If I get the job it will be my B&B of choice when I have head office meetings.

Room Tip: Rooms facing the back get great sun in the morning.
