Bay Tree House Bed & Breakfast

I stayed at Bay Tree House for five nights in September. I was travelling alone, and wanted accommodation in a quiet, respectable area that was handy to the tube. Bay Tree House turned out to be a perfect choice.
Firstly, I had a lovely spacious en-suite room on the first floor, with windows overlooking the road at the front and garden at the back. It was nicely decorated and immaculately clean. Each morning, Jasmine served a delicious breakfast, which included a choice of juices, cereals, yogurt, croissants, pancakes and freshly cooked eggs, bacon etc. I enjoyed sitting at the communal breakfast table sharing experiences with other guests.
Although, looking at the map, Bay Tree House appears somewhat remote from central London, it is actually only five minutes walk from Arnos Grove tube station, and Arnos Grove is on the Piccadilly Line, meaning a direct route to Heathrow airport, Kings Cross/St Pancras for the Eurostar, South Kensington for the museum district, and Green Park for Buckingham Palace. And because Arnos Grove is near the end of the line, you are guaranteed to get a seat when you board the train to go into town, which is a major bonus in London.
Jasmine is a delightful, friendly hostess, ably assisted by her adult daughter Molly. There is a variety of restaurants, cafes and a small supermarket near the tube station. I tried the Indian restaurant one evening and thoroughly enjoyed my meal there. Indeed, I couldn't eat it all, so brought half back to the b&b in a doggy bag and popped it into the fridge. The next evening, Jasmine happily reheated the left-overs for me and they tasted just as good.
I would definitely recommend Bay Tree House.

Booked a night's stay at Bay Tree House based on close proximity to Alexandra Palace and the good reviews on this platform. We would heartily recommend it if you are looking for somewhere to stay in North London. Host was very helpful, welcoming and accomodating. Room was very nice and spotlessly clean with a good shower. Excellent breakfast with a lovely range of home cooked food. Situated in quiet location but close to Arno's Grove tube.

Not the closest location but it's in a nice quiet neighbourhood with a great host and comfy bed. A couple nice restaurants just up the road as well, and close to the tube station on the Piccadilly Line. Good breakfast.

First of all, Jasmine is as good an Inn Keeper as we have had. Pleasant, friendly, informative and natural. The house is spotless and our room, the Rose room on the second floor very comfortable. The bed is a little hard for my taste but I think that is a very personal matter so would not say that is a negative.
Now the practical, yes the house is a very short walk from the Arnos Grove Underground (tube/subway) BUT MAKE SURE TO TURN RIGHT at the FIRST STREET! The street signs are at the weirdest random places when you are use to them being uniformly posted at the corner on a post as they are not. Walk halfway down the street and on the right hand side is the B&B.
To get here from Heathrow just get on the Underground Piccadilly line and stay on it all the way to the Arnos Grove station, about a 30 minute or so ride. Be aware there are 2 flights of stairs up to street level at this station. Not long flights, but stairs none the less.
When you get to Heathrow be prepared to spend at least 2 hours to get through customs, and we had carry-ons. The lines are very long.
There are some restaurants, mostly what I would call fast food types, on the road in front of the Arnos Grove station and an English Pub if you like Pub food but not the places I would plan on eating a great meal but ok for your first night after a long plane ride.
Breakfast is served at the B&B from 8 to 9:30 daily and is very good. American style coffee and of course tea. Breads, eggs, pancakes, English bacon. You won't go away hungry...great start to a day of sightseeing. Oh, really good free WiFi also. Time to go eat breakfast

Lovely room and ensuite and a full English Breakfast as well. We only stayed one night as we were attending a Dinner and Dance close by and Baytree Hotel was in walking distance so no driving home. Will definitely recommend to friends. Very nicely positioned for the Piccadilly Line (5 minutes easy walk) and central London. Jasmine, the owner, is a lovely, friendly lady and is happy to help people when trying to sort the London Underground system as an American couple were having difficulties whilst we were there.

Room Tip: Our room, the Blue Room, was facing the road and it was very quiet.
