“This is what it would be like to live in Hampstead”

As other reviewers have said thisis a lovely apartment in Hampstead. It has obviously been recently remodeled and has an excellent kitchen with new, high end appliances. The bathroom is large and modern. The washer and dryer also new and high quality. The apartment is reasonably large for a London flat. The bedroom has built in closets. The furniture is comfortable. The building itself is quite close to the Finchley Road, with excellent access to the Undergroud, the Overground and the buses. It is also close to both Saintsbury and Waitrose, two large grocery stores, and innumerable small shops and cafes in Hampstead. The building itself appears to be being remodeled and the only area that still seems to need upgrading is the central hallway. The only downside to this apartment is that it is up 4 flights of stairs, albeit not very steep. This is really only an issue when bringing up and down your luggage. Overall I consider this an excellent flat, and a good opportunity ot see what it would be like to live in London. The local manager is excellent. The wifi worked without any problems

Liked best: Lots of room and great location, and such very helpful owners
Liked least: Alot of stairs but we knew this, the stairs are big and not steep and have bannisters so not a real problem at all.

“An excellent property.”
Reviewed 16 September 2013 for a stay in August 2013

Hampstead proved to be an excellent choice of location for us: away from the tourist hordes (but with fairly straight forward access to central London by bus or tube) and very interesting local heritage. Anyone choosing Hampstead can be confident that this property will meet most people's needs. It is on the top floor of a quiet building and is excellently managed by the owners.
First timers will enjoy the Wednesday afternoon walking tour from Hampstead station which offers a great introduction to the area.

“Lovely Flat in an Excellent Location”

The whole process of renting this flat was extremely easy (eg. information provided, access to keys, etc). The Damage Deposit was promptly returned and the flat was very spacious (by London standards). The bedroom was fine with lots of cupboard space. The bathroom was large with big windows (great view AND good water pressure!), lovely being on the top floor of the building. The kitchen was tiny, but has everything you need (including a dishwasher), and how much cooking would you be doing? The flat was very clean and all appliances worked well. You are easily within walking distance of Hampstead Village which has lots of restaurants and pubs. The Overground and Underground (Jubilee Line) are 5 to 10 minutes walk, as are two big grocery stores (Sainsbury and Waitrose). We spent a month in this flat while helping out with our new grandchild and would definitely recommend this property.
If you are staying for one week (or possibly two), and plan to use public transit, I would suggest buying an Oyster Card and ask for a one week pass for Zones 1 and 2. This will get you to most of the tourist sites and you can get on and off as many times as you like in the week. We found this to be a very economical way to travel.
