Pleasant stay, few minor improvements needed

4.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed 21 May 2024
Received an upgrade to a duplex room which was a nice touch. As a result had lots of space. The room itself was very clean. The only downside was the very noisy air conditioning unit tucked away in a cupboard very close to the bed so impossible to escape at night.

The lobby, bar and restaurant are all really nice. Just a 5 min walk down to South Kensington station makes it a really good location for getting around.

We liked the location. We had connecting rooms which is a nice family option. Breakfast was nice, not spectacular but ok.
The whole experience was much better thanks to the wonderful hotel staff. Everyone at the reception was welcoming and helpful. Cleaning service dod a great job. We also appreciate very much all the assistance from Sajjad. He met all the expectations and always with a smile. And made us feel so taken care of.

We loved 100 Queen’s Gate Hotel in South Kensington on our recent trip. The service was incredible. Special recognition to Rosie who upgraded us to a King Loft Suite and recognized our Hilton Diamond status. The 2-story room was very quiet and included several luxurious design features. The hotel is part of the Hilton Curio collection and has a boutique-hotel atmosphere. We loved the hotel’s morning breakfast , the downstairs bar area, and the walkability to fun restaurants and 3 nearby museums (Natural History, V&A, and the Science Museum). We took Uber on several occasions, but there is a taxi stand outside the hotel and the South Kensington tube station is about a 6-7 minute walk.

I normally stay in Westminster when working in London, but hotel availability this week was limited, so I stayed in S Kensington.
A short walk from S Kensington tube, the Curio Queens Gate was a pleasant surprise.
The welcome I received was fantastic, and nothing was too much trouble, and I was checked in swiftly.
My room was bright and airy, looks recently refurbished and really comfortable.
I unexpectedly needed to stay another night, but annoyingly could stay in my room. I left my bag with the concierge and return later that evening.
I was allocated an amazing suite on the top floor - a King duplex suite. It was absolutely fantastic and highly recommend selecting this suite in future.
Breakfast is great, and importantly not as busy as a lot of local hotels in the morning
Overall, a fantastic stay, and a special mention to Onkar on reception whose service was second to none. Thank you

What a truly wonderful hotel. It’s situated in the heart of South Kensington, about a 6 minute walk to the tube station. Was super easy to get here from Heathrow via the Piccadilly line, so easy as to get around. The neighborhood is also very upscale and lovely, perfect for a solo female traveler. And so is the hotel. I literally could not fault it!

I decided to pay the eStandy for an upgrade to the queen atrium room and I am SO GLAD I did. The room was huge (especially for London standards) and it faced the interior of the hotel, so it was quiet as can be. Only drawback is it’s a bit dark, but I love my rooms being caves coz I’m a light sleeper, so it was perfect for me. Bed was super comfy and the room was perfectly clean.

Only thing is it might be a bit tricky if you have restrictions with walking ability as the room hallways are a maze with random stairs. Otherwise I would 1000% recommend staying at this hotel. What a truly pleasant start to my trip!

Room tip: Try to avoid rooms 140/141 as it’s next to the staff back rooms, so there was staff talking outside my room all day long.
