My wife and I stayed two nights at the County Hall Marriott by Westminster Bridge in London. We had an excellent room (614) on the top floor overlooking the park areas beside the London Eye. The service was 'swish' from the moment we walked in trundling our suit cases.
The breakfast menu was extensive from Continental through to Full English with plenty of choice and a large pot of coffee. We were seated in the restaurant with views over the river Thames towards the Houses of Parliament and Portcullis House.
Our room was fitted with a nespresso coffee machine, fridge and tea bags with kettle, The wifi worked well and was free. The bathroom had a really good magnifying shaving mirror - why doesn't every hotel have one? Also, there was plenty of shelf space around the basin for our stuff.
What really took my fancy was the wall paper in the bathroom and the entrance lobby! It was a reproduction of a large scale Ordnance Survey map of the central London area. I could stand brushing my teeth and work out our walking route just from that map and without having to put on my reading glasses. Quirky but Brilliant!
We ate one night in the restaurant, preceded by drinks in the adjacent bar. Again we were seated with a view of the floodlit Thames. Food and service were top notch.More
