Lovely room, great value. Quality bedding, sumptuous curtains, beautiful high ceiling. Great shower and nice to have a kettle. Great location. A little noisy from the Cromwell Rd (1st floor room) but otherwise perfect. Will definitely stay again - if I can get in!!

This is a townhouse hotel so space is a premium.
our first "superior double" was on 5th floor and really small. Not very comfy and what furniture there was was a bit tatty.
they did upgrade us to a 3rd floor family room which was much better but the bathroom was still very small.
They also upgraded us to English breakfast which was good. Have to say the continental breakfast looked very meagre with little choice.
Staff were great and a super location for hotels but wouldn't stay again

The Grange group have a few hotels like this one. Old, grand, properties which have been re-purposed. As such, you don't have the shiny interior of a purpose built hotel but there are some interesting original features.

Check-in was smooth with a pleasant welcome. If you are handy with using a touchscreen device you will be able to check-in more quickly than if you struggle with this sort of tech. Room was clean and the small shower worked OK.

However, some of the fabric of the interior could do with a refresh. Some simple maintenance would make a big difference. e.g. the carpet in the small lift was badly worn & should be replaced. The rather dated TV equipment could do with fresh remote controls to replace the grubby ones with the worn away buttons. Badly worn/damaged bedside tables could easily be swapped out.

I knew what to expect, so wasn't overly disappointed.

Plenty of of local shops/eateries within a few mins walk from the hotel. Handy for the tube too.

Doubtless, i'll make a return to a Grange Hotel before too long.

Great location near (walking distance) Glousester Road Tube Station, Hyde Park and National History museum. Proper hotel for families with kind staff. Logical price for South Kensington and London generally.

Found this hotel when all others were booked solid due to snow and bad weather affecting Northern Airports. Got a superior double for the cost of a single but inflates still due to the situation. Also booked through hotel reservations at terminal 5 heathrow.
Room on Ground Floor looked as though it had been recently updated. Heating great and A/C not used but available. Bed extremely comfortable and good size. Desk area small but adequate. Tea/Coffee making facilities good and lighting very good. Bathroom small with shower only no bath. Very clean throughout. Dining Room/Restaurant very spacious and regal. Reception level looking tired and if honest smelling a little damp, new carpets and a lick of paint would lighten and solve the problems. Staff excellent and very good throughout, very well presented and extremely helpful.
Food is excellent and portions are massive. I am a big lad but struggled with a starter and a main course.
Breakfast is very good, ample amount of full breakfast and a very good display and offering of continental. Low fat natural yogurt is delicious.
