A wonderfully historic pub giving an authentic window into bygone London. It's been our staple watering hole whenever we are in central London, which is quite often. I have always found the bar staff to be friendly and we have met some very interesting people in there. The interior and the decor are synonymous with a pub that boasts a fascinating history in an interesting pocket of outer Covent Garden. We love it!

We stumbled in for drinks and couldn't seem to leave. The atmosphere is terrific and the staff was wonderful. We decided to stay for diner and were very happy we did. We visited a number of Pubs and restaurants in London and this was our favorite, hands down.

Tucked away in side street off Garrick St near Covent Garden. Ye Olde style pub, usual wood interior, creaky stairs, etc good beer available, pleasant publican. Didn’t eat.

Will visit again when in cental London

Hi Gmglcfc

thanks for placing some lovely comments, we like to think the creaky stairs and wonky floors are all part of the charm, glad you enjoyed your visit and please do pop in next time you are in the city centre.
many Thanks

Visited Lamb & Flag with friends on a Friday afternoon. We visited about 10 pubs in London, and this was our favorite. The beer selection was outstanding. It was crowded inside, but there is a nice outdoor area next to the front entrance that has plenty of room. I will definetly visit Lamb & Flag during my next visit to London.

Hi csalonga89

really pleased you stopped by and enjoyed it so much, we are rather proud of our little slice on London magic so it is always great to hear that our efforts are appreciated, please make sure you say hi when you come in next, the beer range is always changing so there will be lots of new ones to choose from.

For some reason, Tripadvisor classifies this as an attraction, so the questions they ask are relative to that versus a restaurant?! So here's the restaurant comments. If you want a little break from the Covent Garden mayhem and their touristy restaurants, take a short walk to the Lamb for a nice lunch. Great pub with an upstairs dining room, which as I recall was a Charles Dickens hangout. Great steak and ale pie and a huge fish and chips portion (with mushy peas of course). Great beers and ciders in a relaxed atmosphere with very nice wait staff. Check it out....it's off in a little alley so use your tech maps to find it. You won't be disappointed.

Hi ParkerSturbridge

for reasons we have never been quite sure of tripadvisor has us listed twice, as a place to eat and as an attraction, I have never managed to get to the bottom of it and in truth it is not the end of the world so we just roll with it. Thank you very much for your lovely, kind thoughtful and comprehensive review. You have summed up pretty much exactly what our ethos is, always great to hear we are getting it right from our guests, I will pass on your great review to my team. Hopefully you will join us again soon when you are next in the area.

Best Regards
