Like all London's great museums the National is free to enter.

This means two things..

1) it is VERY busy
2) on a rainy day multiply that

Something for everyone in here. For me loved the Turner, portraiture, velazquez and the Van Gogh. Obvious choices I suppose..

Well worth a visit.

Absolutely my favorite museum in London. Iconic masterpieces by the masters of each era. Van Gogh's sunflowers and the chair, the ambassadors by Holbein, Monet, Da Vinci, the paintings so gorgeous and powerful that kids and adults alike were completely taken by them.

As one would expect, the National Gallery is home to a very impressive collection of art works. The spacious gallery is centrally located and the catalogue reads like a who’s who from the art world. Highly recommended.
