Probably like many many others, we stepped into this museum in order to get out of the rain. So, of course, probably many others did as well. So I can't really complain that it was busy.

The museum is free so that's nice. They do ask for a donation if you're willing. As a gallery, I thought it was laid out really well and that you'd easily be able to find specific pieces if you were trying to find something particular. We were just wandering and saw some interesting things.

Marvellous art. Pay on your way out for what you feel has been the enjoyment factor.
Food outlets rather expensive, go out into St Martins lane to eat or sit in Trafalgar Square with your sandwiches.

We were impressed by this museum. The collection was enormous. We really like painters from impressionism era - especially famous Van Gogh - Sunflowers.

We had a lovely time on two separate days visiting the museum. Although it can get very busy, it doesn't prevent you from seeing what you want. A tip is that after an hour or two, you get brain overload! We found it best to select a room of focus each time, and spend time concentrating on that, rather than try to see everything the day, which is simply impossible
