There is so much to see here you will need more than one visit.

There are paid exhibitions but we stuck to the free areas which did not disappoint. There are donation boxes to help support the Tate - I would urge anyone who visits to put something in the pot.

Excellent exhibitions, beautifully hung and curated and not over-crowded. However, we had coffee and cake in the Members' Café before going in. OK, it was fairly expensive - to be expected. The brownies were perfectly acceptable and quite large, but the coffee, while tasting good, was in miserable little cups. I ordered a latte, expecting a 'normal' UK latte and got one the size of a genteel, small cup of afternoon tea. Deeply disappointing, especially, when one has got up early, not had time for breakfast coffee and is deep into caffeine deficit! Pick up a cup at Costa round the corner instead or from a local inde.

If like me you love modern art, you have to visit this place. Picasso, Modigliani, and so more are present here. At the entrance a exposition change often but still offer surprise. It my favorite museum in London. I recommend it warmly.

I cam here with a visitor from abroad who wanted to see the Modigliani exhibition. The building itself is rather brutal - being a former power station, so one does not come here for beautiful architecture, but the exhibition spaces are impressive.

After years of living in London I finally made it to the Tate Modern.. I definitely should have done it sooner!

Great places to spend a rainy/grey afternoon. Plenty of free exhibition to walk around, including the amazing viewing platform with incredible views of London!
