I so appreciate the London Underground as a way to travel around the city! It is easy to understand, easy to read the sign, of which there are many! And it's great that there are alternative ways to most things.

Also, I appreciate that there are quite a few staff members around at most of the ticket machines and entry/exit points. It's easy to ask for directions when you need to do so.

My only complaint would be the decision to do "planned maintenance" on a holiday weekend. They had to know it was going to be super busy on a holiday. So why in the world would they shut down multiple lines on a holiday? But other than that, I've always managed to get where I needed to go in decent time.

We travelled on the tube daily while visiting London as our main mode of transport. Only a few minutes between trains! The Oyster card is fabulous and easy to use once set up. Travel is a little more expensive than other european cities but is capped. We felt safe no matter what time of day or night. Great service!

the underground with the DLR gets you to your destination quickly. Do not use during the rush hour. Easy to use.Get an Oyster card from a newsagent. Then top up on the web

We went from Kings Cross to Waterloo on two tubes on the Victory & Bakerloo lines. Tubes were quiet for time of the day as it was Easter Monday. Great service.
