This review is from the Free walking tour. Have been to several Sandeman tours previously, this was unfortunately not among the most memorable. The best one this far was in Berlin where the guide was incredibly skilled and proficient, which made up a perfect mix of serious guiding and more easy going entertainment. Our London guide really tried her best, but it became too much of a "fun farce" and too little initiated guiding. It was obvious that the tour was from a memorized manuscript and an in the end annoying amount of time was spent to promote other tours by Sandemans. I don't like to blame the guide for this since she, as mentioned, did her best of what she had. Maybe London is not the best suited city to do this kind of walks in, to large and spread out? The guide repeatedly said "I would have liked to talk about this and that, but that you will get in another tour" which is maybe ok once. A skilled guide can adjust and address different groups, our consisted of mainly people in their 30-50's but the tone was more directed towards people in their early 20's- nothing wrong with that in itself of course, but maybe not the best way to inspire the listeners. I will try Sandemans again, but will not recommend the London tour as a first choice.
