My bestfriend and I have been here before but this evening we were treated like queens. Abdul was our waiter and nothing was too much for him he was very knowledgeable about the different Champagnes and recommended one of the best burgers I have had in a long time.

Make sure you ask for seating in the areas that resemble an old steam train it makes the experience more quaint and fun. Like I said I have been here before and never had reason to complain about the service but this evening I'm raving about it hence this post. Abdul is a truly wonderful man, I hope all who choose to visit are lucky enough to meet him during their visit.

Thanks Abdul looking forward to seeing you again soon.

Thank 08Peace

We wanted to find somewhere to take our visiting sister/sister-in-law for a late-lunch in the vicinity of Kings Cross last week and decided to try Searcys at St Pancras Grand Restaurant and Bar. Pleased to report we had a first class meal sitting alongside the First Class carriage of the Eurostar right in the heart of the station. We were lucky enough to be seated in the Champagne Bar, right beside the Eurostar platform. (Apparently the full lunch is not usually served in this "outdoor" section of the restaurant, where all the tables have a "push for Champagne" button installed, but the manager let us sit there.)

It's a lovely, quirky spot for lunch away from the smoke (no steam trains running any more, of course!) and our visitor from Australia was very impressed. Three very friendly, helpful and efficient staff, Aneliya, Oliver and Aline looked after the three of us very well and all three courses we chose from the a la carte menu were excellent. The bottle of house white recommended by one of the staff was very drinkable, too.

We left with the intention of returning again soon, to be able to enjoy the food, the location and the excellent service for a second time.

Wonderful place to grab a glass of bubbly. 5 star service, large choice, a very smart place to sit and relax with friends, family or if traveling alone.

So, I freely admit, we’d had a ‘full’ day in london and had not scrimped on the enjoyment. On the way home, decided that sliders from the champagne bar were the only thing! Got there to find out, after having ordered champagne, that it was the Father’s Day menu! No sliders - I realise this is a first world problem and my disappointment was unnecessary after such a gorgeous day. However, the superb manageress and team gave a discount and brought out other alternatives. Fab service for a completely unreasonable and diva-like request!!
