Description: Goodman is a uniquely British interpretation of a New York grill, offering the best beef from both sides of the Atlantic. Among the huge selection of meat we serve in our Mayfair restaurant is American USDA 'Prime' corn-fed beef, grain-fed Irish Angus, and various rare breeds from the Lake District. Every steak we serve from our extensive 'cut' list has been dry-aged on site - it's the best way to concentrate flavour - then we cook it over charcoal. To accompany your steak, we're proud of the American red wine collection we have amassed - we know it's the best way to complement red meat. Our Mayfair restaurant is located just off Regent Street.

Lunch for 6 City folk with extended personal wine cellars, having bought far too much wine, looking for a venue.

Goodman really accommodating in allowing us to bring our own wine, generous corkage charge. Beef was utterly perfect, great side dishes, and really lovely service. Delicious mushrooms and a lovely Bearnaise sauce. Really relaxing, not hurried at all. Almost too many options on cuts of meat? Delicious New York Strip, and everyone should try their bone-in ribeye.

Why don't I eat here more often?

For our third visit to Goodmans restaurant, the birthday girl (my girlfriend) and I had the highest expectations which were thoroughly fulfilled. We are huge steak lovers and Goodmans is one of two outstanding steak restaurants I’d recommend going to in London.
Each time we’ve been, we’ve shared both the U.S.- and U.K.- bred fillets, both distinctive yet delicious. To have the full Goodmans experience, we’d highly recommend trying both. It’s clear all aspects of their menu are carefully crafted, their red wine selection as well as the side options - especially the Mac n cheese - are amazing! The quality is insuperable and the service and experience are outstanding!

I visited Goodman for lunch and because I love steak. The menu offered a good range of options. The environment was warm and friendly, although the music was a bit too loud. The steak and sides were not the best in London but were enjoyable.

We visited the Mayfair location, excellent steak, done to perfection. The place gets crowded after 1630 but the service runs smooth. Their side dishes are very good! If you want to try top quality cuts, this is your place.

First visit for over a year and still serving some of the best steaks in London...great selection of rare breed sharing steaks. Starters were excellent and reasonably priced considering complexity of the dishes, desserts also great value.

Service could be a bit more organised although staff were all friendly and knowledgeable - particularly the sommelier who was really enthusiastic and helped us find our way through the huge wine list.

Overall it’s not cheap but it’s some of the best steak in the UK and it’s in Mayfair. Don’t expect a bargain and you won’t be disappointed!
