Not sure like others on here, know how this place has 'earned' it's 4 star reviews. Here or on the site I used to book this absolute dive!
Evident that it is either being mistaken for the lovely place around the corner that we ended up staying at after this debacle or the reviews are somehow being manipulated by the management/owners of this place. Not sure how it hasn't been shut down! It should be!
The reception itself and the persons manning the desk were unwelcoming and intimidating. The two 'gentlemen' for one reason or another found it necessary to speak to eachother in a foreign tounge while we were checking in. Not only very rude but left us feeling very uneasy. The state of the reception and public areas are are grotty and uncared for and just simply...stank. Then the accommodation itself...
The advertised 4 star Luxury Studio Apt at a special bargain price was a disaster, so regretted. Please do not be fooled!
After making our way up the filthy stairs and hallway (broken lift) we were confronted at the opening of the door with the very strong scent of curry that permeated the room. Which is really rundown, dirty, cheaply furnished. The curtains have come off there tracks, radiator leaning to one side, dirty bedding with strands of hair all about. The bedding for the pullout bed (a broken plastic leather effect futon) was rolled up in the falling apart dirty wardrobe. The bathroom is of course in the same ramshackle and neglected state, dirty sink, stained toilet, black mould ridden shower. Overall a a very repressive and oppressive setting!
For the price wasn't expecting the Ritz, but people come on! At the least a bit of pride? Absolutely disgusting!

The location was great, too bad the accommodation is so dreadful. Do not be fooled. So awful could not bare the thought of staying in this place. Thankfully in a position to suck it up and find accommodation elsewhere (a few steps away and around corner in lovely place for the same cost to the pound)!

Please let this be a WARNING! Do not put yourselves through this! Do not stay here, the accommodation is in no way what is advertised!

Room Tip: Not here, avoid

It's just obvious that whoever owns this place has lost interest. The whole place is dirty and decrepit - our room had a broken window which was lazily patched up with a bit of plastic and some sellotape. Curtains were moldy and stank of cigarettes. Tiles missing in the bathroom, stains on the carpet, scuffs on the wall. The hallways stink, like really reek. It's a sad, lonely, forgotten place that needs to be renovated or condemned as soon as possible.

It is cheap and it is in a great location but it's just not worth it. Go with the alternative Stay in a hostel. Camp in Hyde Park. Don't go to London at all.

Room Tip: Top floor less likely to have rats, probably

As bad as I've ever seen for room quality and service. Location very good. List of things not working: wifi, toaster (melted cord with exposed wires), microwave, dvd, lift. No blinds, often no hot water, no plug, foul smell from bathroom drain. Rusty shelves in bathroom, broken chest of drawers. The list goes on! Zero response when we mentioned these to the bored staff. Then they had the cheek to try to charge five pounds per bag to store them for four hours! Good to know the fire alarm works (2:40am!!) but shame the staff tried to disarm before investigating. Luckily London is awesome so we had a great time despite all this, but try to stay anywhere but here!!

we booked a junior suite for a 2 weeks stay this Christmas/New year.

good news 1st. the location is great and the staff are friendly

bad news. the worst place we ever stayed. seriously over priced. broken down and ramshackle. the owner needs to invest in the place seriously.

heating doesn't work (in winter mind you), toilets all broken, floor tiles come off, no hot water in the day time , morning included. fittings all broken. apartment lighting not working, microwave not working, room wasn't hoovered for 2weeks only beds turned, linens changed, toilet cleaned and garbage removed. we stayed in a junior suite 103.
lift was out of order. totally overpriced.
local YMCA would be 100 times better.
Cannot recommend for anyone.

I have never had such great customer service on a budget single room.
I was met with a problem and the staff showed incredible customer service! I loved the room it had all the facilities you’d expect and it was very comfortable.
I booked on bookings.com for a bargain price.
The hotel is in a fantastic location and I will stay here again!
