This train service is almost always cancelled and if it is working it is late.
I have been using it for the last three years every day to go to work and I can count with my fingers when it was on time and when it arrived on time at destination.
A lot of times Heathrow Connect is cancelled just to favour Heathrow Express.
I just hope Crossrail takes over and Heathrow Connect disappears for good.

It really is half the price of the Express and doesn’t take much longer. Not as fancy or comfortable as the Heathrow Express. But good enough. More people got on at some of the local stops than at Heathrow. It was a little confusing at Paddington where the actual train station was. Easily resolved with a couple of questions.

Half the price and only 15 extra minutes. If not in a hurry, the Heathrow Connect is a good option to get to or from Paddington/Heathrow.

You can travel to Heathrow on the Piccadilly Line and use your Oyster card but if you take this train that card is only valid to Hayes & Harlington. This was a surprise to me, it doesn't seem to be advertised anywhere prominent but I guess they are trying to recoup the cost of building the line. I was happy to pay the extra on board but on arrival at Heathrow having tapped in with an Oyster card there is nowhere to tap out your Oyster - meaning you get charged the maximum amount . Please provide an opportunity to tap out for people who make this genuine mistake

Whilst Heathrow Express has the quickest journey time between London Paddington and Heathrow T2,3 of 16 minutes with an Anytime Single costing £25, the Heathrow Connect stops at a few stations along the way and taking 23 minutes to LHR T2,3 but costing only £10.30 for an Anytime Single ticket. The Connect service is less frequent than the Express but is equally as comfortable with good storage space for luggage and for the money it saves it is a good choice for getting to Heathrow.
