Extremely well staged and we'll worth the hype. We fully enjoyed both parts of the play and despite it being an extremely hot day, the theatre seats not the comfiest and England winning 6-1 through out part 1 we wouldn't of wanted to of been anywhere else

6 hours in the theatre, and not one moment of clock-checking or fiddgeting in our seats. We were completely spellbound and abosrbed in the play to such an extent that we actually believed the magic on stage. It was only afterwards that we found ourselves saying 'how on earth did they do that?'... We would definitely recommend seeing both plays in one day; this way you become completely absorbed in the story and can more easily remember the important detail from the first play.

For HP officianados, this play effortlessley moves the plot on 25 years or so, and creates the same deeply absorbing world of magic that the books do. The plot twists and turns with incredible dexterity. The staging is magnificent, managing to be simultaneously complex and simple. The acting is excellent, with Scorpius putting in the performance of a lifetime.

The Palace Theatre is stunning and a perfect setting, but - it is an old theatre. We are not tall, and were quite comfortable in our seats, but my neighbour who was more than 6ft was clearly feeling very cramped. Also, wear summer clothes if you are at the top of the theatre, even if the weather is not scorching. There is no A/C in the theatre and it got quite tropical in the Upper Circle.

Other useful advice? There is a free water cooler in the bar (you will need it) so no need to spend money on expensive bottled water. There is a long queue for security but it goes down very quickly, and there is absolutely no point in arriving more than an hour before the performance, when they open the theatre (the Box office is open earlier if you have tickets to collect). And yes, it is possible to buy tickets at the last minute, if you only need 1 or 2. We bought them ahead, but there were a couple of great seats available on the website the day before. Enjoy!

Ever since planning our UK holiday, had been trying to book tickets for the play since 6 months but had no luck. Since we were in London for 15 days decided to take a chance going to the theatre box office. We were lucky as on reaching the box off we were able to buy two tickets for both the shows on the very next day itself. It was just great that we got dress circle seats. We reached one hour before the show and there was a huge line to get in. The lines moves quickly. Can't carry food and drinks inside. Only sealed water bottles. Our dress circle seats were in row H and had a good view of the stage. My son n me r both harry potter fans and really enjoyed the show. Everything was indeed magical and kept us engrossed for both the plays. We particularly liked scorpius. It's an expensive play but we really loved the experience.

We saw both parts 1 and 2 in one day which is too much if you are a casual fan...If you are obsessed as my 9 year old is, its a dream come true. Grab dinner at The Ivy Market between parts.

Had a wonderful time at the show
Great special effects and a lot of humour too.
Worth refreshing yourself on the last episode since the play refers back.
We had a stalls seat row n and had an excellent view of the stage
The theatre was very hot inside it has no air con and it was a very hot weekend so the temperature inside made uncomfortable viewing at times.
There was free water in the bar which was good considering a bottle was £2.50
Arrive the hour advance since it takes a time to go through security checks
Wear cool comfortable clothes and consider taking a small hand fan if you can get a quiet one
