The hotel is nice rooms spacious particularly the bathroom with large bath and rainfall walk in shower. I think this was well overpriced for what it is at a rate of £200odd for a night. My husband thought it would be nice for our 1st anniversary. Even though he had mentioned this to them was not acknowledged in any way. Told on checkout we had to pay another £4 for breakfast because we had cooked yet upon check in they confirmed included breakfast as prepaid... the breakfast was slow service and then we realised we were missing items but didn't bother asking for them...

So overall yes nice and clean but nothing to shout about really especially for the price.

and as others have mentioned car park next door 17quid for 22hours yet they give a Saturday Sunday rate but not over night....

Certainly return to Liverpool overall but not to this particular hotel... sorry

My partner and I do not often stay in more lavish hotels, more often than not we are happy with a premier inn, however we really enjoyed our treat 1 night stay at the Malmaison.

I really enjoyed the style of the hotel and rooms. The rooms were also a great size. We went for the river view room which didn't boast a total view of the Mersey as you were looking directly at offices. The bathroom was great with what has to be one of the biggest baths I have been in. I found location great, it was quiet and peaceful but only a 5 - 10 minute walk to the Albert Docks area.

The bar was very pricy , including not serving a pint (which i found very strange) and parking was also an issue. Cheaper parking is available in Liverpool but these places have a considerable walk. The convenience of next door will cost you £17.50 for 24 hours.

All in all I would stay again.

Wasn’t particularly expecting to enjoy this stay - but the hotel surpassed expectations. Location is nice and quiet - although a bit of a walk into the city and parking not on site. Room was great and - best of all - they are dog friendly! Breakfast also excellent. Would definitely stay here agin if in the city.

We stayed for one night whilst visiting Liverpool for a gig at the Philharmonic. Booked an advance room only rate so the price was competitive. It's a fairly new build and inside is decorated in the usual Mal style which is dark but feels luxurious and good quality.

Reception is large and very welcoming . Check in quick and friendly.

The room was a very good size. Bathroom was big as well with a separate bath and walk in rainfall shower. The toiletries were good quality. Bed comfy and black out blinds were ideal for good nights sleep.

It's only a 5 minute walk to the Albert Dock and another 5 minutes takes you into the city centre for all the shops, bars and restaurants. The only downside was that the car parking next door was extortionate £17.50 for 24 hours. We parked for 25 hours and cost £22.50. Probably worthwhile looking around for a deal.

A beautiful hotel in the perfect location. Added fascination of viewing a mammoth cruise liner leave port as we ate dinner. Room was beautiful even though only a standard one. Wonderful service throughout especially our waiter to table. Not sure on spelling. Macarena. Delightful. Definitely visit if you are planning Liverpool.
