The hotel was well presented and consistently hygienic. General staff had been friendly and courteous. Breakfast was well laid out with a wide range for a continental provision.
Location was excellent, well situated to access all of Liverpool centre with relative ease.
We stayed 3 nights with our two children, two rooms which has been facing each other. The second night we had been woken up after 2am by neighbouring two rooms who had returned drunk and banged back and forward between two rooms, shouting with no consideration for other guests. Matter was raised with management who advised they have no control over guests, do not group families together in the hotel and treat all guests as equal. They then suggested we move rooms. We requested the parties be spoken with by management. On the third night, awoken again at 2.15am again parties back drunk, only they had been locked out of their room. The older female (60s) went to reception whilst the older male and younger couple with them proceeded to rattle doors and knocked our bedroom door in their frustration. About 10 minutes later the older female returned with the keycard resolved.
Disappointed at management response, no duty of care to guests demonstrated. Reflecting that they have no control in their business is concerning. No consideration to families travelling and how they may be best placed to be in a similar area of hotel to avoid these issues. Appreciation of diversity and equity in service delivery would be recommended. Customer service from management was poor hence 3 star scoring.
