We regularly stay in Liverpool and have tried several hotels now but this wasn't one of our favourites.
The room was extremely small (like some London hotel rooms) and it had a novelty theme, a picture of screaming women behind the bed, black aeroplanes all over the white walls and a large plane ticket on the wall. Presume this is representing "Back in the USSR"? Unfortunately the very small bathroom was up a tiny step (constant tripping hazard) and inside felt one step up from a plane toilet only with a shower added, all very plastic, a floating toilet which felt like it might fall off the wall when you sat on it and the shower tray and sink were stained.
Cleanliness was ok but it was obvious the hoover didn't reach right up to the skirting board.
We only stayed for two nights and wouldn't have wanted to stay any longer as it became very claustrophobic. It was very basic and compact.
Clean towels left in the room for us after our first night.
No plug sockets by the beds.
I have to say we didn't experience any noise it was very quiet.
The reception area where breakfast was served never looked appealing enough to eat there.
The reception did smell lovely at times and we heard others comment.
We personally feel we've had better rooms for better prices at other hotels.
It was nice to have a personal welcome rather than a digital check in though.
