In Liverpool to see the Terracotta Army Exhibition and decided to stay overnight so we could see some of the other attractions the city has to offer. Excellent location on Hope Street midway between the two cathedrals and opposite Faulkner Street which featured in a recent television documentary. We were warmly welcomed at reception and were lucky to secure a parking place in the hotel’s garage nearby. Shown to room 403 which was large and stylish with a contemporary bathroom. Large comfortable bed and bathrobes and slippers in the wardrobe. Bottles of water and tea and coffee making facilities in the room and good quality toiletries in the bathroom. Large shower cubicle together with free standing bath and soft white towels. Room was quiet and the velux windows and air conditioning ensured a good nights sleep. We were on the summer break deal so had dinner in the hotel restaurant and this was excellent. The lamb rump was perfectly cooked and we were able to find a reasonably priced wine to accompany dinner. Service was spot on and special thanks to Amy who looked after us at dinner and at breakfast the next morning (excellent cold buffet selection and the hot Liverpool breakfast was tasty).
This is a unique hotel full of character with excellent, friendly staff and good facilities in an interesting part of Liverpool and we would recommend without hesitation.More
