Stayed here for two nights recently as I was in Liverpool on business. As you step through the front door the reception and bar area is cavernous (spot the Beatles reference?!)
The rooms are really nice, spacious and well decorated - love the feature wall in my room, knitters among you will like it too, a giant stash of wool. Love love love the shower in the bathroom, rainfall shower that is nice and high ( my very tall husband would have enjoyed it!). The bed was very comfortable and I slept like a log on both nights.
I had dinner in the restaurant and can recommend the pork belly, it was very good. And the breakfasts were lovely too, lots to choose from on the buffet, delicious coffee and you can’t go wrong with smoked salmon and scrambled eggs on sourdough toast. The full English looked good too.
The only negatives would be that they don’t have parking on site, and the views....well there aren’t any, other than of the building next door or over the road.
Enjoyed my stay here, it’s very well located , but then the city is quite compact so you can get around and see the sights easily.

Nothing special about it. Basic room and basic amenities.
I checked in to assigned room, which was already occupied with the occupants valuable possessions and laptop on the desk. Fortunately no-one was in the room or they would have been very scared or embarrassed or even self protecting from an intruder.
An alternative room was assigned without a view or soul.

By means of compensation they didnt charge me for breakfast.

Certainly a far cry from their Group name (Intercontinental Hotel Group)

My husband and I stayed here for two nights. We found it a bit difficult to find at first as we hadn’t been told to get off at central station when in fact it is next to An entrance to Moor St. Reception staff were very pleasant and helpful. Our room was quite smal but adequately equipped with a very comfortable bed. Good shower and bathroom. No view from the window. The foyer was busy with lots of people waiting with suitcases which made it a bit noisy. The only thin that let it down was the Marco Pierre White restaurant. We ordered a Sunday lunch and the meat was so tough we couldn’t eat it. All in all we had a great weekend. Location was ideal for shops, the docks and Exchange Flags was opposite with some nice bats and restaurants.

It was most pleasing to great you comments on the hotel as a whole but was disappointing to read about your visit to our Marco Pierre White, I have past your review to our restaurant manager.

We arrived over 3 hours early but were checked in immediately by a really friendly receptionist. The room was well presented and clean and the bed really comfortable. There were even free soft drinks and snacks in the room.
The breakfast was good. A nice choice of continental and a menu choice of hot including full English, porridge and eggs benedict, lovely!
We only stayed one night but I’d definitely stay here again. The hotel is well placed for the Albert Docks, Liverpool One and other sights in the city.
