What a beautiful home. So close to all the attractions but on such a quiet street. Included everything a person could want. Hope to stay again on our next visit.
It was a privilege to stay in this absolutely stunning & immaculate house! The decor & design of this house was amazing- from the carpets and soft furnishings to the mirrors & pictures on the walls- we loved everything in it! The owners have also thought of everything that a guest could want: the kitchen had every appliance you could ask for (toaster, coffee maker, washing machine, dishwasher etc) and everything was supplied that you could possibly need for cooking & dining. There was also a cd player, dvd player and massive tv in both the lounge and main bedroom. The beds & pillows were also very comfortable and the shower was powerful.
The owners thoughtfully provided a lovely welcome pack which was much appreciated.
We were lucky in that it was sunny enough for us to sit in the garden whilst we were there , the garden furniture is situated at the end of the garden in a lovely quiet and peaceful spot. In fact, the street that the house is in is extremely quiet despite being so near the town.
As a group of 3 ladies not into gadgets, we had trouble getting the dvd player to work but we phoned the lovely owners and they took the trouble to come to the house and show us how to do it!
The location is perfect: a few minutes walk to the Lincoln Cathedral and Castle and from there, a lovely walk down Bailgate and Steep Hill full of lots of interesting shops, pubs and teashops. Once you get to the bottom on the High St, it's a few minutes walk to the bus station where you can get a bus that brings you back up the hill (saves that huge climb back up Steep Hill )and drops you around the corner from your holiday home! There are also lots of restaurants and pubs within walking distance for evenings out.
We would love to return to this beautiful home if we return to Lincoln for a holiday break.
