When we first walked in it didn’t seem so bad. Ordered a drink and went a found somewhere to sit to have a rest before walking back down the prom to our hotel.
All the tables were dirty, so we sat at one and moved the glasses left on it to another table. “They’ve obviously been busy earlier” I thought - we weren’t bothered at all and assumed that as it was now quiet (there was us and 2 other tables only) that the staff would be round to clear the tables soon as there was a couple of them on and it was pretty quiet.
It soon became apparent though that they weren’t interested in cleaning up, and I wondered if the glasses had actually just been there all day and it hadn’t gotten that busy after all.
The menus were all sticky, the tables dirty, and one of the tables in there had a family on with 2 teenage girls just a bit older than my kids (who are 13) and they were necking Smirnoff Ices back like there was no tomorrow and there’s no way they were even close to 18.
It just seemed a bit off - so we finished our drinks and left and went somewhere a bit livelier and a bit cleaner.
