Dear 268lorraine,

Thank you for taking the time to leave feedback. We are pleased that all in all your group had an enjoyable visit to the Royal Alexandra. In regards to your rooms, we are sad to learn these didn't meet your expectations, we do kindly ask guests to notify us immediately of any issues whatsoever so they can be rectified there and then to ensure a more comfortable stay, we would have ensured your blind was tended to by our cleaning staff once made aware of the issue. Alternatively we may have offered other more suitable rooms to yourselves once notified of your dissatisfaction, staff will always do everything they can for guests to ensure their holiday is the best it can be. In regards to food, we do usually get very good comments on the excellent food and service on offer at the hotel, should there be any problems during meal times - our restaurant manager is available to rectify any issues that may arise and arrange for replacement / alternatives. Overall we are very pleased you found our staff to be extremely welcoming and friendly and we do hope you will choose us again for a future holiday to Blackpool, best wishes from us all at the hotel

Dear Jake H,

Thank you for your feedback. We are pleased that overall you had an enjoyable visit to the Royal Alexandra and it's lovely to hear our staff made you feel so welcome. We are currently underway with refurbishment at the hotel - with many of our guest bedrooms and communal areas updated and refreshed for the 2018 season however there is still a little work to be done which we aim to complete over the quieter months. In regards to our food - thank you for your comments - guest feedback is extremely important to us as it is through feedback we monitor so we can aim to improve, we do have a restaurant supervisor on duty at every meal time and should there be any issues / or should you kindly ask for an alternative dish - staff would be more than happy to accommodate. We're also very happy you enjoyed our nightly entertainment and it's great you found our bar prices to be very reasonable - this is great to hear! We do hope you will visit again in the 2018 season, thank you for your review and best wishes from us all,

Departed to Blackpool by National Express to see the Blackpool Illuminations during
October.
The hotel is central situated, five minutes walk to Winter Gardens, shops beach etc.
On arrival at the hotel I was allocated a room without any heating, but was given a heater
which at least gave me some warmth whilst in the room.
The hotel was full of Scottish People during the week I stayed but that didn't cause any problems.
Food was fantastic and always plenty to eat.I did not bother with the Entertainment as it
seemed to cater for the Scots staying at the hotel.Included in the Blackpool Promotions was the National Express fare from London and half board at The RoyalAlexandra .Also was a ticket to go on the Trams to see the Illuminations.
Apart from the heating issues in the room,I had a good stay in Blackpool and would come
again.

Room Tip: The hotel has a lift so ideal if you are disabled.

I recently stayed at the Royal Alexandra Hotel for two nights. The room was big enough and was clean and comfortable, with a tv and en-suite. The bar was old fashioned Blackpool, with live entertainment and bingo - gave me a glimpse into a different world. The staff were friendly and breakfast was ok.

So I stayed here for 3 nights and the breakfast was vile I could have used the toast as paving slabs. But the worst bit was I had a bottle of perfume stolen from my room. I emailed the manager who has repeatedly ignored me and I have informed him that there was only one day we had housekeeping so it doesn't take poirot to work out what's happened to it. I would never stay here again and am utterly disgusted at the "customer service" I've received since leaving. They've had 3 weeks to reply to me.

Dear Guest, we are sorry to hear you are not fully satisfied with your recent stay at the Royal Alexandra. In reference to breakfast - the Royal Alexandra does usually get great feedback regarding breakfast and the excellent service on offer, we do kindly ask guests to raise any issues at the time with our restaurant supervisor so matters can be dealt with there and then - replacement dishes / suitable alternatives would be arranged immediately. In regards to the alleged theft - The Royal Alexandra takes matters of theft extremely seriously, numerous emails have been exchanged by yourself and management regarding this matter - management state that in early emails you could not remember the brand of the perfume which was lost nor could you describe the size of the bottle in question - Management also state they are still awaiting a reply from yourself from an email sent over a week ago. Unfortunately after a thorough investigation no perfume has been found in our lost property - allegations of theft should not be made on a public forum especially when there is no evidence to support such claim - nor is there a police report to support your allegation. Should you wish to pursue your allegation further we will be happy to assist the Police in any way whatsoever. Our housekeeping team are long standing members of staff and have no previous complaints made against them regarding their conduct.
