as budget hotels go Ibis Styles is as good as you get for the money. Room we stayed in was adequate but not over large. Sparsely furnished as you would exect, but we both managed very good nights sleep whilst there as the beds are very comfortable. The room itself was the only negative and this is the but in the title, so I would suggest if booking, ask for a seaview room and pay the upgrade. What we saw of these rooms was that they were a much more pleasant prospect, and larger overall. Worth the upgrade fee, although on our visit none were available for us to move into.
Plus points in my view was the tremendously friendly and helpful set of staff we encountered, along with the more than adequate breakfasts. Continental but all products were very fresh and constantly replaced. Should be something available to suit most people. Complimentary coffee and tea at any time of the day was also appreciated at times.
The other big plus is it's location, right on the front opposite North pier. we found it perfect if using the buses or trams as we did, both are on your doorstep.
ALSO, do ask about discount parking as it saved us more than we paid for leaving our car parked for two days. Brilliant!More
