“One of the best we have stayed in”
Reviewed 30 September 2013 for a stay in September 2013

Well what a excellent weekend stay in a fantastic converted chapel, with many features you would expect from a chapel but with all the mod cons you would want in a holiday home.
Property very very clean (which is not always the case having stayed in a few holiday homes over the years). Log fire easy to use and kicks out some heat. Top quality kitchen, showers and all other facilities 100% we even had access to the fruit and veg growing in the garden and green house, how nice is that. All in all a great short break. Property suitable for families, young and old and even that romantic break away from it all. Many thanks Kevin and family with friends.

“Wonderful, charming and unusual property”
Reviewed 9 August 2013 for a stay in July 2013

We have just arrived back after spending a wonderful week at The Old Chapel.
An incident on the motorway delayed our journey, Rebecca (the owner) not only accepted our Sainsbury's shop but kindly put it away in the fridge and freezer. The property was beautifully clean and had everything that is needed for a comfortable stay.
The owner's have done a brilliant job of renovating The Old Chapel and it has been finished to a very high standard. The décor is in perfect harmony with the style and features of The Old Chapel and clearly a lot of thought has been given by the owners using high spec fittings along the way. We had beautiful weather during our stay and so didn't get to use the log burner which looks very inviting - maybe we'll get to use it next time.
The main bedroom is very big (easily big enough for an air bed for a child at the side) and the en-suite bathroom is luxurious with a large bath and separate double shower.
Our children loved having their own space up on the mezzanine floor and having WiFi was a bonus when travelling with a teenage.
The kitchen is fabulous with plenty of cupboard space, every utensil and cooking facility that you would need. There is also a sofa in this very large kitchen to sit and read a book.
Not very many holiday rentals have a garden like this one. It is spectacular with lots of colourful flowers (we were able to pick sweet peas for the house), an outdoor sitting area and a greenhouse. We had some very delicious raspberries and I loved watering the plants in the greenhouse.
The Old Chapel is only 12 miles away from Keswick where we had a lovely boat trip on Derwent Waters. The locals are extremely friendly and you really can get away from the hustle and bustle of life.
All in all, if you get the chance to stay at The Old Chapel take it you won't be disappointed.
