Lovely views from the back of the cottage, lovely friendly neighbourly square at the front. Supermarket handy for picnic supplies. We had a good time here. Short walks, long hikes, swimming in sea, nice bakeries, fish & chips, good bus and rail links; some thing to suit everyone including the dogs. Thanks
Very well located cottage close to High Street which was easily accessed on foot. Parking available but not specifically designated for the cottage so we tended to leave the car parked using the very helpful resident's parking permit provided and walked, not a bad thing. Excellent standard of cleanliness, the cottage was well equipped with beautiful views of the surrounding countryside. Simon was brilliant very helpful and easy to contact. Kendal itself is a great place to visit with lots of helpful information provided by the Civic Society and tourist office. We particularly enjoyed the suggested town walks and the Quaker Tapestry Museum, not to be missed. Dining out, with a dog, in the evening was tricky but during the day not so much of a problem, we found Finkles and The Master's Tearoom both very welcoming. We would definitely recommend this cottage, it is very comfortable but with three flights of stairs it might be a challenge for anyone with mobility issues.
