We stayed in a senior suite for 3 nights in June. Some parts of the hotel are excellent- the staff are wonderful, all very helpful and friendly. The restaurant was incredible- every meal we had was amazing. The spa was lovely, very luxurious and relaxing. However... the senior suite was quite disappointing. It was enormous, as was the bathroom, but the furniture and furnishings really let it down. We’ve had far more luxury in cheaper hotels. The bar area is soleless with no atmosphere or views, definitely not a place we would want to spend time in.
Overall we enjoyed our stay but would we go back? No. There are a lot of better places we would choose rather then The Daffodil.

The customer service at this hotel is second to none. I have never stayed at a hotel with such great service from a super friendly team. The food was excellent and the dining room staff were super efficient. I would certainly stay at this hotel again and I have already recommended it to friends.

Room Tip: Worth paying for the view of the lake

Spent a few days here and was very pleased ,beautiful location and facility.Decent restaurant on 1st floor serving 3 meals ,room service,if you dont use the hotel's restaurant you will have to drive elsewhere as Grasmere closes down at dusk.
They also have a spa which we did not use.
The atmosphere is laid back, lovely area with gorgeous hills and quaint local village,Grasmere.
Not recommended for kids as there is little for them to do,but great for couples.
Dove Cottage (Wordsworth home ) across the road and Beatrix Potter home is a car/bus ride away.
rooms have either view of Lake or 'Lion and Lamb' tarn...both very nice.

We came here thanks to our son and daughter-in-law who purchased a night's stay with dinner for my wife's birthday. We decide to supplement that with an additional night and were glad that we did. The hotel's setting is perfect and we had a superb room overlooking the lake and the rear patio area. The staff are friendly and welcoming and the ambience of the hotel is excellent. The food was superb and whether you're just having breakfast or all meals there, the views from the dining room add to the experience. We used the spa which after a days sightseeing was lovely and relaxing. Grasmere village is just a short walk away with pubs, dining and some shops. What I look for in a review is to see whether the reviewer would return. Not only would we return to the hotel but I would have no hesitation in recommending it to friends and family.

Room Tip: Ask for a lake view!

We stayed in the hotel for 2 nights, it was a nice experience. Although i had no time to visit the spa ( spa is included u don’t have to pay for it). We had dinner the first night of our trip, and it was so good and not expensive at all. Totally recommend it
