“Excellent cottage and location”
Reviewed 6 September 2018 for a stay in August 2018

Very comfy cottage that provides everything you need. Great location with a short walk to the lake. Took advantage of the canoe and had some lovely evening out on the water. Really nice to find a dog-friendly cottage in this corner of the Lakes.
My only suggestion would be somewhere to dry wet clothes and boots rather than in the space between bathroom, bedroom and main room would be good.

Thank you so much for a great review. So glad you enjoyed Robin, and I hope you will be back. We are planning some changes for the future - hopefully we can incorporate more drying space within that.

“Perfect lakeside setting!”
Reviewed 10 January 2018 for a stay in November 2017

We loved our stay on the edges of Coniston water - the location is wonderful, with walks straight out from the door along the banks of the lake. We fell asleep to the sound of the river in the distance (and the awesome sky of stars outside the window!). The cottage was warm, cosy and equipped with all you need for a short break in this beautiful area.

“Good break”
Reviewed 30 October 2017 for a stay in October 2017

Booked cottage for a week end of October, it’s in an amazing spot lovely for two and the dog, warm comfortable everything you need. When we got there we had an issue with flies loads of dead ones around but soon cleared them up. Loved the lakeside, would use it again.

Thanks so much for a great review. So sorry about the flies - not sure why that was, and most unusual - will look into why that was. I hope you will return.

“Robin Cottage”
Reviewed 21 August 2017 for a stay in July 2017

Lovely compact cottage which is very well equiped. There is a lovely grassed lane leading to a field a small wood and the private shoreline Perfect holiday cottage for both people and their dogs The cottage is an ideal base for touring the lakes Only drawback i could see is that one of the bedrooms is situated in the annex however there were only two of us so it wasnt an issue. To be fair Daphne the owner did make a point of explaining to us about this Would definitely return to Robin cottage if revisiting this area All in all a lovely cottage in a tranquil location

Thanks so much for a great review and I hope you will be back. We're trying to work out how to incorporate the annex bedroom into the rest of the property. With 18-inch thick stone walls it's not so easy, but watch this space!

“Idyllic country cottage”

Just got back from The Robin Cottage with its on lil piece of garden for the dogs. Perfect surroundings with sheep for neighbours, a 2 min stroll along the grass/ rivers edge, through a tiny woodland you find yourself at the lakes edge which is very private. We took the canoe out every day followed by a bonfire on the lakes edge cooking up marshmallows. The dogs loved it, soooo dog friendly and they do not charge extra which sealed the deal, they spent ages playing in the fields and the water, all this belonging to the cottage and the other properties which are away from each other enough so you actually feel like your the only people there. Cosy cottage with all you need plus and annex in case hubby snores ( i used it! ). Coniston is a cute village, 5 min drive away, over stunning countryside views, fish n chips or local pubs all a delight to visit. Local Spa for stock up . Short drive to Windermere or take the car ferry over, i could go on forever. If your looking for a relaxing yet for filling time away, with activities galore or if you just want to sit on the dock of the bay watching the world go by then i recommend it, you seriously feel like lord of the manor :)
