I first visited this wonderful bakery as a teenager in the mid 1970s. Most food tastes better in your memory than in reality. But not with these guys! The hot cross buns are amazing! My Latvian daughter-in-law had never tasted such delicious ones and was very impressed. The gorgeous, melt in the mouth flapjacks really hit the spot after climbing at Honister Slate Mines in the snow! Thanks for being part of my special Lake District memories for 40+ years!
