We have been to 1,2 and 3 star restaurants and this is EASILY worth a star. Whilst the entrance isn’t much the inside is minimal and smart similar to L’enclume. The staff are friendly and the service excellent with just the right pace. We had the signature menu. The Herdwick hoggett and potted shrimp are superb - in fact nicer than L’enclume and were hot a pleasant change from some restaurants who mess with food at the pass so it is Luke warm when you get it. The wine was excellent and the sommelier matched the dessert wines which went fantastically with the pineapple pane cotta and the treacle tart. All round a superb meal, excellent value and we will be back again. Well done to everyone there the love shone through as they care about what they do. Well worth a visit.
