We had a table booked for 8 of us on a Saturday. We turned up slightly early and had to wait which was fine but the shabby out dated bar area wasn't exactly welcoming and neither were the staff in the area.
We were put on a table in the small back room area with another large party and it was really cramped and hit due to the amount of people.
We were told we were not aloud to order starters and then a main and as a result we massively over ordered and looking at the reviews we are not the only people who were forced to do this but I suppose it's a good way for the restaurant to make maximum profit per table.
We had the mixed starters for all, two portions for the table of prawns, squid and mussels.
The starters were average nothing special for the price; the prawn roast was rock solid and the satayed chicken overcooked but the rest was ok. The prawns and squid were actually quite tasty especially since slot of other restaurants produce rubbery squid.
We ordered a few mains with noddles and rice.
Mains were ok but ended up getting them wrapped up as we were so full at this point but had been forced to order them.
Rice was great but the noodles were undercooked.
We ordered a lot of drinks which were fine although the waitress who was taking our drinks orders kept getting them wrong.
They were helpful in bringing out a surprise birthday cake although ruined it slightly by bringing it to the hallway next to our table where it could be seen before bringing it too us.
All In all the food was ok but overpriced for what it actually was. I think our next celebration will be taken somewhere else.
