Fab central location. Five minute walk to town. Great price. Free car park. Double room clean. Bed divine. Only downside internet connection went down. Friendly staff. Plenty pubs and restaurants nearby. Definate stay x

With the Old Town just 100 meters across a footbridge to the West and the industrial business areas a few minutes drive to the East, the Premier Inn (Hull City Center) is an ideal location for business and leisure travelers who need to drive but would prefer to walk to the Old Town for the bars, restaurants and nightlife on offer.

This is the reason I have used this hotel on probably a dozen occasions since it opened around 10 years ago, and although it has lost a little of that "new hotel" shine, with a signs of repairs here and there, it can definitely still recommend it.

The free car park is located on the lower floors which means that reception and restaurant areas are on the 7th floor with the rooms continuing upwards.

I don't often eat in the restaurant as I prefer to take a walk into town but on this occasion my plans changed last minute so I reserved a table. The starers were perhaps a little expensive considering their size, but the mains were a fair price and my rare sirloin was cooked perfectly. The star of the show however was the desert. I am not usually a desert person but this time I decided to treat myself to the Chocolate "Crownie" (cookie/brownie) which seems to be a new addition to the menu and was a perfect blend of rich flavours and tasted like it had been made from very high quality ingredients.

Breakfast was also very good, with plenty of choice of juices and everything on the cooked buffet was hot and fresh despite me coming down fairly late in the service when things were quietening down.

Both the restaurant and breakfast staff were all very friendly and nothing was a bother.

This time I had a slightly squeaky air conditioner in my room, but that didn't prevent me from getting a good nights' sleep.

Overall, a very good hotel with a good balance of location, staff, food and price.

We couldn’t recommend the Premier Inn, Hull more highly. Staff were excellent and very polite and professional. Lovely room and perfect parking facilities being indoor. The location couldn’t be better for local shops, bars and restaurants. We particularly loved the real ale pubs in the old town.

For value for money, fairly impressed with this Premier Inn. Decent rooms, no problem parking, nice bar area and food good at a decent price. Only negative, avoid the 12th floor as shower pressure poor!!
