My Mum and I returned tbis year for a 5 night stay. We are both disabled and found all the staff very friendly and helpful. They were a whole new team compared to other stays but we were still helped out greatly and this made our stay really nice. Thanks to Chris, Dan, Dom, James, Stacey & Katie and also to the lovely lady Manager who helped with our luggage on our departure. We had a nice holiday. No real complaints except the soap dispenser in my room didnt seem to work and the beds for some reason in the accessible rooms are very low and Mum and i did struggle a bit to get in and out. Unsure why they would be so low. Other than that, everything was good. Thanks again guys.

Could not be better located. Very friendly and efficient staff. Room was perfect. TIP When booking prices can vary a lot. I looked my dates up early and it seemed more expensive??? than last year. Tried my luck with my dates later on, prices had gone down???. A friend tried later, they had gone back up again

I know this is a budget hotel, BUT the extra charges soon add up & I expect it to be at least clean.

We arrived around 4.00 pm to find the only parking was the NCP nearby. Yes, it is mentioned on the website, but at the bottom & nowhere near the booking dates window. The prices quoted are out of date so be prepared to factor in another £6.50 per night to park. You also have to fight for spaces on the ground floor if you want to drive your car in the evening. The upper floors of the car park are locked at night.

This hotel has only 2 good things - the view & the breakfast. The view (if you're facing the sea) is lovely. The breakfast is good at £8.00 per person per day.

The wi-fi isn't free & having coughed up for that you find yourself having to answer all sorts of data/marketing questions before you can even join the hotel network.

We got to the room to find "residue" in the toilet from the last guest/cleaner - who knows? I spoke to the duty receptionist as we left to go out & was offered a change of room or for the toilet to be cleaned. The room was conveniently close to the hotel entrance & naively I thought cleaning would be easier. I was assured the toilet would be cleaned within an hour or so. We returned at 11.30 pm to find it hadn't been touched. It was too late & we were just too tired to argue, so ground our teeth & flushed a few times!

Next morning we discovered that the shower is plenty big enough if you're a small child or a super model. The curtain, which clings lovingly to you for the duration of your shower is also too short to stop water flowing on to the bathroom floor. However, there IS a helpful sign warning you that the floor may become slippery.

We had one hand towel & one bath towel between two of us. There was no bath mat, so we had to use the hand towel on the floor in order not to break our necks. The soap dispenser in the sink area had no cover, was mouldy & didn't work anyway.

The duty receptionist asked if we'd had a good stay, when we checked out. In fairness he did offer to send us a money off voucher for our next stay in a Travelodge. This is the 2nd time we've stayed in one - never again, so the offer was a bit pointless really.

Room tip: Ask for a sea view

Our room was dirty and had not been hovered at all, people were in the bar area still drinking and shouting at the top of their voices and could be heard from our room ,should have been unlimited breakfast more like very limited we had some of small amount of food that was there and asked if there was any more coming and was told yes its being cooked ,when it came there was so little of it that other guests had taken it, myself and my wife were just about to get some more food and staff started to pack it away because there was none left, I asked again if any more was coming, staff replied no.
